As we wake up this morning, the United States of America is experiencing nationwide riots at a level that has never been seen in the history of our country. This is right on the heels of the global pandemic, which seems to have dropped off of the news cycle overnight! But what if these two events converge? We certainly live in historic times that will change our society in fundamental ways that we can’t even fathom. But as followers of Christ, what are we to think in the midst of this? Albert Mohler has some helpful thoughts here. But I am thinking in terms of what should our prophetic voice be in the midst of this? I firmly believe that God is calling His Church to be a prophetic institution like never before and if we fail at this task, He will remove the lamp stand from the American Church once and for all.
In this episode I argue that we must return to the proclamation of the Holiness of God, the Sinfulness of Man, the Judgment of God and the Proclamation of the Biblical Gospel to Repent and Believe.
In this episode of AFA, we talk about where God is and what He is saying to the church and our country in the midst of a global pandemic and unprecedented riots in America. We then walk through Peter’s Pentecost sermon in Acts 2 and see how the death and resurrection of Jesus totally changed how the Apostles read the Psalter.
